Hope and Loose Change

Ripped asunder by magic tricks,
a velvet wrapped nightmare of rusted chains,
neck crushed, future drowned.
Lost within a blank space
and blinded by your halo,
a luminescent serpent bickers with itself
in a room filled with empty shoe boxes.
As the lost city barrel rolls,
hope and loose change falls out of our pockets.

  2. I’m glad I’m not the only one who has a thing about empty shoe boxes… although I think my thing stems from a different place entirely. 🙂

    • i don’t know where mine stemmed from lol, my fiance was shocked when we had a clear out of our flat and there was a good 10-15 shoe boxes stashed under our bed, i always think they could be useful for something but i never use them.
